Dear Members,
I thank you for electing me to the most
honourable post of the President of this great organization for
the year 2005-06. I accept this position with great sense of
responsibility and faith in this great institution and its
members.
Faith is one of the important factors for
happiness. It leads one to the path of fulfilment. Faith makes
an ordinary person like me to assume extraordinary
responsibilities. It is your faith that has made me accept this
coveted post of the head of the CITC. I thank you all for your
immense faith and I pray to God to give me the strength to
measure up to your expectations in the coming year.
I assure that in the year ahead, I shall try
my level best to take CITC to new heights, of course with your
benevolent guidance and active help. In my journey, my long
association with the CITC and the experience of administration
shall help me in delivering the duties assigned to me with
diligence. I shall be happy to receive any suggestion or advise
for the constructive development of the organization.
In my efforts I shall be assisted by various
committees headed by very able and senior persons, the youth of
the managing committee and my devoted office bearers.
It was wonderful to work with Shri Ajit
Rohira and friends as a team in the year that has gone by. I
congratulate Ajit and friends for an excellent year, full of
activities and events. I assure him that the good work carried
on by him will be continued with the vitality and zest infused
by him.
The Chamber, an institution with a glorious past, an institution
with longevity and tremendous potential. It has built a brand
for itself. The aspirations of the members needs to be taken
forward.
We need to reflect on our culture and ethos
and bring about the change. There is a need to revitalize our
core programmes. And leverage our strengths and create new
learning in the profession. I have tremendous faith and belief
in you the members. You’re the contributors to the Chamber's
glory. I wish to sensitize you, to make you feel that the
Chamber is your own. And you are a part of the large extended
family .
The sense of belonging and ownership need to
be felt. You are the brand Ambassadors of this organization.
Needless to say that the sense of belonging will be manifested
in your participation at the
programme you extending support in contributing to the Chamber's
activities.
A bare look at the years of yore makes one
realize that the CITC has its own share of gigantic achievements
attained under the leadership of giant individuals. It is a
humbling experience when one goes through the annals of this
oldest tax consultants organization and is left wondering as to
what further can be done other than to follow in the foot steps
of those who have led the organization with the grace. At the
same time, it is also revealing that each of them had charted
their own courses which led greater strength to the
organization. It will therefore be my endeavour to bring fresh
ideas and approach in the matters of education and
administration and in that I will welcome all fresh ideas and
the people with such ideas to take the CITC to further glory.
It will be my pleasure to communicate with
you through these pages and share the progress of the
organization.
