I don’t know how many of you will have time to read this page
as when it will be in your hand many of you must be soaked in Tax Audits and
Returns, so called "October heat".
Professionals’ life is moving at a jet speed along with the
country’s economy, stock indices, forex and what not. For the week ended
September 28, the forex reserve increased by $ 12 billion, more than $ 10
billion of financial year 2005-06. Sensex crossed 18000 points and last 1000
points jump was only in two days, which never happened before. "Change", which I
spoke about in my first message has already set in and going to be country’s
guest for some more years. As a professional we need to be watchful to set our
sails as the wind may blow from any direction, and the direction in which one
goes depends on how best we have put our sails. Future belongs to them who has a
strong belief and one who lives in a present with sweet memories and rich
experiences of the past.
With the rain of activities everywhere, Chamber also has not
remained aloof. The exercise of building edifice is already began. Chairmen of
various committees have prepared their annual plans. Various programmes have
been sketched to advance our motto of learning. On other hand Chamber has also
seen invited by Income Tax Department for providing assistance in setting up
centre for e-filing and Large Tax Payers' unit.
