2. Past Events

1. Full Day Seminar on TDS organized by the Education Course Committee was held on March 15, 2008. The Seminar was well attended by the members.
    

2. Half Day Workshop on “Finance Bill, 2008 “Indirect Tax Provisions – Mainly on Service Tax” organized by Indirect Taxes Committee was held on March 15, 2008. The Workshop was well attended by the members.
    

3. A Seminar on “LAWS RELATING TO IMMOVABLE PROPERTIES” was organized by the Allied Laws Committee which was held on April 12,2008 at Hotel West End. Shri K.K.Ramani, Advocate and CA Sunil Gabhawalla addressed the delegates. Mr. K.K. Ramani delivered a talk on Redevelopment of Housing Socities - Laws and Procedures and CA Sunil Gabhawalla delivered a talk on Laws relating to Service Tax -ffecting property transactions.There was an interactive question and answer session where the speakers alongwith Mr Ashish Chandan, Addl. Commissioner of Service Tax,Mumbai replied the queries raised by the delegates. The Seminar was well attended by the members.
    

4. Study Circle Meeting:
   
   The Study Circle Meeting was held on March 11, 2008 on the subject Finance Bill-2008 – Direct Tax Provisions“. The meeting was chaired by CA Kishor Karia and was led by CA Pradip Shah.

3. Forthcoming Events

1. Half Day Seminar on “Special Economic Zone” is organized by the Direct Taxes Committee on April 19, 2008. For further details, please refer to the CITC News of April.2008 or visit website on www.citcindia.org.
    

2. Lecture Meeting on “SECTION 14A – RECENT DEVELOPMENTS" is organized by the Direct Taxes Committee on April 16, 2008 at S.N.D.T. Committee Room from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m..The meeting will be addressed by Shri Vipul Joshi, Advocate.
    

3. 2nd Residential Refresher Course on International Taxation is organized by the Direct Taxes Committee from June 13-15, 2008 at Ras Resort, Silvassa. For further details, please refer to the CITC News of April, 2008 or visit website on www.citcindia.org.
    

4. 20th Education Course is organized by the Education Course Committee on June 16th & 24th, 2008 and June 21st & 28th, 2008 at M.C.Ghia Hall. For further details, please refer to the CITC News of April, 2008 or visit website on www.citcindia.org.
