The Finance Minister is expected to present the Budget in February 2010. The has been reporting that Whether the Direct Taxes Code will be presented at this time, as reported in the Financial Press recently, is only a matter of conjecture. However, the presentation of the Finance Bill is a certainty.

The Chamber of Tax Consultants, jointly with the WIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, has arranged the annual feature: a Workshop to study the Direct Tax proposals of the Finance Bill. We expect our members to take the benefit of the expertise and knowledge of the three well-known Tax Professionals, who will be speaking at the Workshop.
